Third Regional Meeting of the MA Elks Association

 

The Third Regional Meeting of the Massachusetts Elks Association will be held at the Auburn/Webster Lodge of Elks #2118 on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 12:30 P.M.

 

Through the courtesy of Exalted Ruler Michael L. McNamara and the Officers and Members of the Auburn/Webster Lodge, a cordial invitation is hereby extended to all Members of the Association to be present at this meeting. Matters, which are of vital concern to all Lodges, will be discussed as well as plans for future State Association programs.

 

EXALTED RULERS, your attendance at the Regional Meeting is of paramount importance to your Lodge. Grand Lodge and State Associations programs will be presented for the benefit and success of the Subordinate Lodges in Massachusetts. Please encourage all your Officers and interested members to accompany you to this very important and informative meeting. 

 

STATE COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN, it is not necessary to speak to have your report included in the minutes, simply present a written copy of your report to the Secretary or send your report via email to mwcronin@charter.net. Only those Chairmen whose committees or functions are relevant at this time will give oral reports. When giving your report please be brief and to the point.

 

Gary W. Conley, State Chairman on Lodge Activities has scheduled a workshop beginning at 10:30 A.M. to review the Grand Lodge Contests and Awards that are available to Subordinate Lodges.

 

Please notify the State Secretary no later than January 25, 2010, if you wish to be on the agenda for this meeting!

 

Any member planning to speak under New Business or Good of the Association shall notify the Secretary prior to the commencement of the meeting.

 

Any member wishing to meet with the Board of Trustees should contact Trustee Chairman David Charbonneau prior to the meeting to be included in the Trustees agenda.

The State Convention Committee would like to inform everyone that the State Convention for 2010 was sold out on December 14, 2009.

 

Those on a waiting list will be notified by mail right after the Holidays.

The Ma Elks State Trustees are offering a special raffle for a full weekend at the upcoming State Convention in June at the Sea Crest Resort. There are a limited number of tickets available and will sell out FAST ! The donation per ticket is only $ 5.00 and once they are gone they are gone.

Passing of Brother-in-Law of Dot and Joe Balestrieri 

 

Helen Varney (member of the Billerica Elks) and sister to our MA Elks News State Editor Dot and MA Elks Past State President Joe Balestrieri, lost her husband Richard from Cancer on January 16, 2010.   A Memorial Service was held today.
