Regional Meeting
The Fourth Regional
Meeting of the Massachusetts Elks Association will be held at the Taunton
Lodge of Elks #150 on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 12:00 Noon.
Through the courtesy
of Exalted Ruler Paul Giannakoulis and the officers and members of the Taunton
Lodge, a cordial invitation is hereby extended to all members of the
Association to be present at this meeting. Matters, which are of vital concern
to all Lodges, will be discussed as well as plans for future State Association
programs.
EXALTED
RULERS,
your attendance at
the Regional Meeting is of paramount importance to your Lodge. Please
encourage all your officers and interested members to accompany you to this
meeting.
STATE
COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN,
it is not necessary
to speak to have your report included in the minutes, simply present a written
copy of your report to the Secretary. Reports may be sent via email to the
Secretary at
mwcronin@charter.net
Only those chairmen
whose committees or functions are relevant at this time will give oral
reports. When giving you report please be brief and to the point. Final
committee reports should be made at this meeting.
Any member planning
to speak under New Business or Good of the Association shall notify the
Secretary prior to the commencement of the meeting.
REMINDERS
1. Nominations for
all offices of the State Association will take place at this meeting. The
election will be held
at the State
Convention on June 12, 2010 at the Sea Crest Oceanfront Resort and Conference
Center, North
Falmouth,
Massachusetts.
2. Those members
running for an elective office must inform the State Secretary by April
27th of their intention
as well as the name
of the member who will be presenting the nomination.
3. Association books
close on May 31, 2010. All vouchers and funds must be presented to the
Secretary at least
2 weeks prior to
closing for payment and posting.
4. In order to expedite proceedings at the State Convention, committee
chairmen should give their final reports at the Regional Meeting on May 2,
2010.
