MA Elks East-Central State Trustee Rosemary Lent
Hospitalized
I have been informed that
East-Central District State Trustee Rose Lent, PER of the Maynard
Lodge #1568, has been hospitalized in Framingham Union
Hospital since leaving the State Convention early on Saturday and
has been moved to Beth Israel. where she is in serious condition
with heart issues.. She will be operated on when she stabilizes.
Please pass on to those who know Rose. Our hopes and prayers are with her for a full recovery.

Gloucester Lodge #892 Exalted Ruler Peter Dennen, PDD Lucky Charm
It was disclosed at this years convention,
that Gloucester Lodge Exalted Ruler Peter Dennen, PDD, seems to be a
common link between the only two members of the Taunton Lodge of Elks
#150 to hold the position of MA Elks Association State President. It
seems 28 years ago in 1981, Peter was a first time Exalted Ruler, when
Joseph P. Silvia, Jr., was installed as State President and this year
(28 years later), he became Exalted Ruler again, as James F. Strojny,
Jr., of the Taunton Lodge was installed as State President. (Note to
Taunton Lodge Members, if you want to be State President, find out the
next time Peter serves as Exalted Ruler).
