Update on MA Elks State Trustee Rosemary Lent of the Maynard Lodge #1568

I have heard from Rose and she is on the mend and doing what she's supposed to be doing.  The prognossis is not as bad as some people are thinking.  The biggest problem was fluids on her lungs.  As soon as they got rid of the fluids, the problem with her heart was not what they thought.  There are no blocked arteries and the valve is not leaking like they thought first.  So far the medications are doing the trick.   Rose just wants to thank you to all for your thoughts and prayers for her recovery. Just shows that ELKS CARE - ELKS SHAR

Update on MA East Central District Junior PDD Richard Tucker

Dick's brother Mike says that he will need to have open heart surgery...not yet scheduled, but probably will be early next week.  They are still waiting for the fluids to go down.  Dick is in great spirits, says okay, lets get on with it.  Resting comfortably and watching his big plasma TV..has a great room up on the 10th floor, with a couch for his visitors.  Had turkey on rye for supper last night, had his coffee this morning.

The floor nurse and she said Dick was "comfortable" and didn't appear to be scheduled for a whole slew of tests, and could receive visitors any time.  He is in Brigham and Women's hospital in the Shapiro Building, room 1027.  He is on a restricted diet - no salt and said we are welcome to visit any time over the weekend.
