North District Deputy Mike Canfield's Mother Ruth Canfield Passes Away

I have the sad duty to report on Ruth L. Canfield, wife of Frank Canfield and mother of MA North District Deputy Michael Canfield of the Billerica Lodge #2071, on Sunday August 1, 2010.

 

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday August 3, 2010 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM from the Sweeny Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica.  Funeral will be Wednesday August 4, 2010 at 8:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.

I would like to thank all members for all your prayers and cards for my daughter and grandchildren at the passing of my son in law Dean  Gordon.
I cannot put to words the feeling my family received from the many Elks that expressed their sympathies to us all. I would like also to thank the many of you who attended the wake.

Friendly Reminder: Enter: Winthrop Elks Poker Run - Saturday, August 7, 2010

The deadline is fast approaching to enter the Winthrop Elks Annual Poker Run benefiting the Veterans and other Elks Charities.  There are five stops, food, fun and cash prizes. The details to enter the 2010 Poker Run are attached and please note there are a few changes from last year.  

Please feel free to forward this email along to friends interested in joining the fun. Those not boaters are welcome to drive, bike, or bus to each of the stops.
