along with updated lists of State and Grand Lodge Officers and the MA
Elks Lodge Directory. We are waiting for the printed copies of the
2009-2010 State Directories to arrive, so until then, please use the one

Final Payments Are Due For MA Elks Trip To Ground Zero
Reminder - All Final Checks were due by
August 1, 2009 and there are still members who signed up that haven't
sent in their checks (made out to the MA Elks Association), please get
them in by August 7, 2009 or please notify Frank Staffier at once, as
there are 18 people on the waiting list. Also, anyone staying over on
Friday September 25, 2009, we have arranged an Elks Discount at the
Marriott Courtyard, right up the road fro the Randolph Elks. The number
to call is 1-800-321-2211 and ask for rooms reserved for the MA Elks
Association.
Again Frank needs a definitive response by
August 7th or he will be calling the waiting list.
Braintree Elks #2622 Host 2nd Annual Veteran's Cook-out
The Braintree Elks welcomed nearly 150
veterans from four Boston area VA centers on Saturday August 1, 2009
to a cookout and social gathering at their Lodge on Elm Street, with
hot dogs, cheeseburgers, many salads, desserts, beverages and

Update on Richard Tucker Junior Past District
Deputy of the Hudson Lodge
MA Elks State Trustee Mike King PER Hudson
Lodge spoke to Dick's brother Paul and was informed that Dick has been
moved to a step-down area on July 30, 2009 and is now in a room where he
can receive visitors. He is at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Shapiro
Building, 6 East, room 603. He will probably be there for a week and
then will be transferred to a rehab facility - hopefully Whittier in
Westborough.
