MA East Central Junior Past District Deputy
Richard Tucker in Hospital
I have been informed that MA East Central
District Junior PDD Richard Tucker of the Hudson Lodge #959 is in
the hospital. He is having heart related issues.
His brother Paul took him to Marlboro
Hospital on Sunday morning because he was having difficulty
breathing and he would be short of breath after taking a few steps.
He was admitted immediately. He had very high blood pressure that
apparently had gone unchecked for quite some time. This has caused
some damage and enlarged his heart. He also has fluid around his
heart and was retaining fluids in other parts of his body. They put
him on medication to reduce the retention of fluids and he
was transferred to Brigham and Women's hospital in Boston yesterday.
He is in the Shapiro Building, which is their new cardiac unit. They
will be doing an exploratory procedure to determine the extent of
damage done and potential blockages and next steps. Paul's daughter
is a nurse @ B&W and she saw Tuck this morning and told her Dad that
he looked much better.
There is a card down at the lodge for
him. Please try to stop in to sign it if you get the chance.
