Springfield Lodge #61 Initiates a Fifth
Generation Elk
The Springfield Lodge of Elks at their
recent District Deputy's Visitation conducted an historic initiation
when they initiated a 5th. generation Elk. The new member is John N.
Sampson Jr. whose father was present for this special event. John's
late grandfather was a member and also an officer in the Springfield
lodge and his great- grandfather was an Exalted Ruler of
Springfield Lodge in 1938. His great -great-grandfather came to
Springfield as a seven year old from Ireland in the 1800's and
joined the Springfield Lodge in 1903. This family can now proudly
boast of five generations and over 100 years of family membership in
the Elks.

About the
Elks Cruise
The
Norwegian Pearl sailed her
maiden voyage in 2006. She
carries 2,846 guests, features
12 fine restaurants, 11 friendly
bars and lounges, great
entertainment, and the first
bowling alleys on the
high seas. She was recently
featured on the Travel
Channel special "Great
Cruises: Norwegian Pearl."
Those who
sailed on the Elks Cruise in
2009 experienced first hand the
impact of the many exciting
enhancements that Norwegian
Cruise Line has made to
Freestyle Cruising and the
overall cruise experience --
things like "Welcome Aboard"
champagne for everyone, new menu
selections, such as lobster
galore and signature specialty
dishes, upgraded stateroom
amenities, and a new array of
Broadway-style shows.
Cruise
line representatives will be
there to look after you from the
time your flight arrives in
Miami to the time you get to
your stateroom, then, from the
time you leave the ship to the
time you check in for your
flight home. Getting there will
be easy and hassle free!
Simply
stated, nothing matches the
appeal of the sun-drenched
Caribbean in the middle of a New
England winter. Fascinating
ports of call, miles of inviting
powdery beaches, plenty of sight
seeing and lots of duty-free
shopping --- and the festive
Norwegian Pearl is waiting to
take you there!
What are
you waiting for? The
Caribbean is calling! |
