MA Elks Association 3rd Regional Meeting

The Third Regional Meeting of the Massachusetts Elks Association will be held at the Saugus/Everett Lodge of Elks #642 on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 12:30 P.M.

Through the courtesy of Exalted Ruler Juan Carlos Orozco and the Officers and Members of the Saugus/Everett Lodge, a cordial invitation is hereby extended to all Members of the Association to be present at this meeting. Matters, which are of vital concern to all Lodges, will be discussed as well as plans for future State Association programs.

EXALTED RULERS, your attendance at the Regional Meeting is of paramount importance to your Lodge. Grand Lodge and State Associations programs will be presented for the benefit and success of the Subordinate Lodges in Massachusetts. Please encourage all your Officers and interested members to accompany you to this very important and informative meeting.

STATE COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN, it is not necessary to speak to have your report included in the minutes, simply present a written copy of your report to the Secretary or send your report via email to mwcronin@charter.net. Only those Chairmen whose committees or functions are relevant at this time will give oral reports. When giving your report please be brief and to the point.

Cell Phones for Soldiers was created to assist US Soldiers who are stationed overseas to call home. Old cell phones are turned into prepaid calling cards. One cell phone provides one hour of talk time. Since the program was created it has raised approximately $2.5 million dollars in donations, which has allowed the program to purchase over 500,000 cards. State President Bill Reilly has pledged our support to this most worthwhile endeavor. Members and Lodges wishing to donate their old cell phones may do so by bringing them to the Regional Meeting

Please notify the Secretary no later than February 1st if you wish to be on the agenda for this meeting!

Any member planning to speak under New Business or Good of the Association shall notify the Secretary prior to the commencement of the meeting.

Any member wishing to meet with the Board of Trustees should contact Timothy Avelino, Chairman, prior to the meeting to be sure to be included in the Trustees agenda.
