MA Elks 2010 State Hoop Shoot Results
 
The Annual MA Elks Association State Hoop Shoot was held on Saturday February 6, 2010, which was once again hosted by the Maynard Lodge #1568.  State Hoop Shoot Director Bill Ferrick and his committee once again did an outstanding job.

Brighton Lodge #2199 Donates Dictionaries

Brighton Lodge of Elks #2199 has given Dictionaries to all third graders in Allston and Brighton.

Beverly/Salem Lodge #1309 Holds Testimonial for Robert Couillard

 
Beverly/Salem Elks held a testimonial on the evening of January 23, 2010 for Robert Couillard, a dedicated member of the Elks for 40 years and still actively involved.  Mr. Couillard has held an official position in the Elks every year of his 40 years as a member. For the last 25 years he has served as secretary.
Mayor William Scanlon of Beverly proclaimed January 23, 2010 as "Robert Couillard Day". Family and friends of Anna and Bob Couillard joined in the evening of recognizing and appreciating all that Bob has done in the last 40 years. Donald Dewar-1st Vice President MA State Elks Association, Richard Falzone-2nd Vice President MA State Elks Association, Ed Volta- Past Grand Lodge Esteemed Lecturing Knight and Michael Zellen-Special Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler all spoke concerning his achievements and dedication as an Elk. Bob is presently still serving as Secretary and always says:  "Elks Care-Elks Share"

Passing of Wife of Winthrop Lodge #1078 PER William Paul Frazier

 
I have the sad duty to report that Barbara Jean Frazier the wife of Past Exalted Ruler, William Paul Frazier of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks #1078 passed away after a long illness on February 4, 2010.
 
The Wake Services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Frazier Funeral Home, 174 Winthrop Street, Winthrop, MA and the funeral  Mass will be Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the St John's Evangelist Church on Winthrop Street in Winthrop.
 
There will be a collation at the Winthrop Lodge of Elks following the funeral service on Tuesday.
