Official 2009-2010 Endorsed Grand Exalted Rulers Fundraising Pins Available

SDGER Mike Zellen will be the Massachusetts contact person to purchase the official endorsed candidate for GER and Ohio Elk, James Nichelson's fundraising pins. Mike will have the pins available for Massachusetts Elks who would like to purchase them. There will be a man's pin and a women's pendant. Each are $100.00 if purchased separately or $150.00 if purchased as a set, the same as last year.

Hopefully he will receive a flyer with a picture of the pin and pendant that can published, but in the meantime you can send him a check to reserve the pins, at this time. We will post a form on our State Website, as soon as we get the flyer.

Norwoood Lodge #1124 Exalted Ruler in Hospital

Norwood Lodge #1124 Exalted Ruler, Phil Sullivan, HLM, DL, PDD, is recovering following heart by-pass surgery performed, in Boston, on Thursday February 26, 2009. I spoke to his wife Giselle Thursday evening and was told he had been transferred from recovery to ICU and was resting comfortably. Any additional information regarding his condition and hospital stay is incomplete at this time and further info will be forwarded as it becomes available.

At this time, visitors and phone calls are limited, to family members only. Anyone wishing to extend their best wishes with a card or note can forward them to his home address, I know Phil would appreciate hearing from his fellow Elks.

MA Elks Candlepin Bowling Tournament Update

The MA Elks Candlepin Bowling has limited space for those of you who have procrastinated to this point. There is room for only one more team of 5 at Noon on March 8, 2009. There is also room for only one more team at Noon on March 22, 2009. There is room for four more teams at 9:30 AM on March 22, 2009. That's all there is ! Act quickly or you will miss this fun activity. Check with Bob Evers (617) 686 0557 for further information. Hope to see you in Norwood along with the nearly 600 elks already registered.

MA Circle District ENF Bola A Success

As the Attleboro Lodge ENF Chairman, I would be remiss if I did not send my sincere congratulates to Circle District Exalted Ruler Association President Michelle Smallcumb and all of the district ERs for raising over $5600 for the ENF with their annual district fund raiser (and party) held Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Attleboro.
