Montague Elks #2521 Holds Egg Eggstravaganza

The Montague Lodge #2521 was a sponsor in the annual Easter Egg Hunt held on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Unity Park, Turners Falls, The Peter Cottontail Eggstravaganza. Over 150 children ages 4-12 hunted in the park for 3000 toy and candy filled eggs. Jon Dobosz, Director of the Montague Parks and Recreation Department, said that the event was well attended and the children were able to enjoy face painting, a bake sale, egg decorating and photos with the Easter bunny following the egg hunt. Luckily the rain held off until after the festivities. ER, Joe St. Peter thanks Jon and his staff and volunteers for this great hopping event!

Zachary Strojny - Son of Mary and James Strojny Home From Iraq

On a personal note:  We are proud and happy to announce that our son Zack and the 2/9 Marines arrived back at Camp Lejeune on Sunday April 19, 2009 after completing their deployment to Anbar Province, Iraq.  Zack was overwhelmed by the out pouring of Carepacks sent to him and shared with his fellow Golf Company 4th Platoon and wanted me to Thank Everyone and Every Lodge that took the time to think of them, he and his fellow Marines have a whole new impression on the Elks.  He was stationed in a Forward Operating Base for his whole deployment and every time carepacks would arrive, he said it was like Christmas!  Pictured below:  4th Platoon, G Company 2/9 Marines at FOB Eagle.
I want to personally thank everyone who thought of Zack and his fellow Marines during their deployment.  And a huge thank you to all our Men and Women serving in harm's way.
