MA South District Annual Gong Show For MA Elks
Scholarship Fundraiser
Once again the MA South District recently held
it's Annual Gong Show to raise funds for the MA Elks Major Project "MA Elks
Scholarship, Inc." at the Orleans/Eastham Elks. A nice crowd showed up and
they were not disappointed. Opening the evening was the MC of the Night
"District Deputy Ernie" (pictured below).
After our Irish Friend held an auction of secret
items, several acts from the various lodges were brought out. Some of the
highlights included the Plymouth Lodge with some wilder women and singer George
Martin PER, along with Falmouth Lodge's Elvis impersonator (pictured
below).
The most important announcement of the night,
was that over $2,200.00 was raised for the MA Elks Scholarship by the South
District and that the winning lodge act was Falmouth Lodge's Jack Johnson as
Elvis with Plymouth Lodge's act a close second. The Judges for the
Gong Show were MA Elks President-Elect Jim Strojny, MA Elks 2nd Vice
President Rich Falzone and MA South District PDD Jeff Hopkins.
Pictured below receiving the moving trophy which will be placed in
Falmouth until next year's show is L-R Jack Johnson, Jim Strojny and MA South
District Deputy Ernie Butilier (who was Master of Ceremony).
